Overgrowing plants.

I have an aquarium in style Iwagumi. I keep Eleocharis 3 species, monte carlo, eriocaulon,[censored]riccia fluitans. I've been starting my aquarium 1 year ago. I use products ADA only. In particular daily ferts. When the plants overgrow in the aquarium, algae (small bristles - xenococcus?) and snails appear in it. Need I to increase the number of fertilizers? Volume biomass enhances therefore plants faster more than usual absorb fertilizers and. Am I right?

Thanks.

It sounds like you've got it right. As plant mass increases so should your ferts

Do you increase the amount of fertilizer as the plants grow? -)

I guess that depends on the percentage of plant mass in the overall tank that you trim. I personally don't adjust my dosing after trimmings, but maybe that's why my tank isn't perfect haha.

Maybe a more experienced member will add their 2 nickels...
