What are the best plants for bettas

Do they have certain kinds of plants they prefer? I know some bettas like sleeping in caves, maybe they like sleeping around a patch of plants too? So like medium or tall plants would be best?

My bettas love my different crypts. Some of the wider leaf varieties allow for them to sleep on the leaves.

I agree, my guppies and bettas have always liked to hang out on big anubias leaves near the surface too.

Plants with wide leaves, such as Cryptocoryne spp., Anubias, or Echinodorus spp. should be great.

Mine sleeps and rests on the anubius leaves. But, he used to lay on the bottom under a small "bush " of a tiny leafed buce.

Mine sleeps all tangled up in water lettuce roots and I had a previous one who would wiggle onto the top of an amazon sword leaf so that he was only a couple of mm from the surface.
