I am a new poster but have been using the site to research for some time. I decided I wanted to go with a somewhat aquascaped and dirted tank while keeping with no system to add co2.
I have a jbj 45 rl tank, with a Current Satellite Pro Plus light. I am currently ready to start cycling the tank as I just got through the process of water changes to clear the water column after initially filling the tank. I already completed the hardscapeas seen in the attachment.
I am looking for suggestions for plant type and arrangements. This is my first planted tank so I want to be sure I don't waste time or money if I can avoid. I was thinking dwarf sag. In the foreground up to the back right area with taller plants on the sides and back. Possible moss and appropriate type plants (not requiring soil)on the exposed rocky areas.
Currently I am planning on ordering plants from Dustin's site and trying to keep budget at around 50bucks for now. A mix a red and green plants was also an idea.
Thanks for any ideas!
