Intro

Hello all, well I am a newb at the whole planted tank adventure and I just set up my first, a 20G and it's been done for about two days and I have murky water, it has cleared up slightly but is this just something I have to wait out or is there something I can do to it? As for my set up it's pretty minimal at the moment, just a couple anubias nana, micro sword, a java fern, and a created java fern with some small decorations. As for equipment it's just a florescent plant light, 100w heater, and marineland penguin filter... Want to make it a lush scape and been doing my homework on how to do it but wanted to reach out to a knowledge base like this if I end up having problems with it.

It should settle down within a couple days, I know my dirted tank did! If not, maybe you can remove the water and pour the water in slowly or without making impact on the substrate by pouring the water over a decor or rock or through a filter or something.

How often and how big of water changes should I be doing while letting the tank cycle? Now and plants melting is that just another term for them wilting alittle bit?
