New tank: 29 gallons or 45 gallons

Hi!
So I want to buy a new freshwater tank. I am hesitating between a 45 gallon tank (fluval bow), a normal 29 gallon tank, a longer version of the 29 gallon tank (I am pretty sure both 29 gallons are from fluval, or at least their lights are) and finally a 23 gallon tank (fluval vista). Which one should I get knowing that: 1. The tank won't be planted.
2. I do not want goldfish or african and South american cichlids.
3. I care more about the quality than the price.
4. I want the most stocking options I can get for a community tank.

Thank you in advance for your replies!

Pfft. Not planted? Did you not read the name of the forum? you're lost. you deserve NO replies!

j/k

Having said that, unless you really don't want to support the larger size (whether it's time, space, money, effort, etc), isn't it always the bigger tank the better tank -- especially when it comes to #4?

Hahahah I just have absolutely no talent with planted tank. I've tried it and it failed.
I think I will go with the 45 gallons, and stock it with gouramis, corys and lemon tetras.

Pshaw. Start simple. I'm sure even you can get away with a simple java fern. Just put it in there and don't fuss over it. It practically requires nothing other than running water, fish poo, and a basic light cycle to stay alive.
