Start new tank with plants from old with algae

I starting a new ADA 60-P tank and I already have one tanks that suffer from algae but also has good plant growth

Not sure if this would be a bad idea, I guess algae will develop any way if they are suppose to outbreak.

Should I just start over with new plants or can I treat my plant before entering in the new tank?

You can treat it with a diluted H2O2 solution. That should fry off the algae and leave the plant alone.

No science behind how I do it, I just grab some water, maybe 0.5 gallon, dump in a few heavy splashes of 3% H2O2, give it a stir and dunk the plants in it for 5-10 minutes.

Some plants are susceptible to melting.... Blyxa and Pogo Helferi melted way back for me...

Are you keeping up with maintenance? Trimming out the unhealthy leaves, weekly large water changes, detritus removal, etc..? The algae is telling you something isn't quite right, especially when it's that bad.

I just want to know if it would safe to use trimmed plants from the old one with algae in the ne one?
