Sick fish in QT. What do I do to the tank?

I have a 5g planted, heated and filtered tank for a single betta. He got sick and I pulled him and put him in my hospital tank. He didnt make it so I am now wanting to get my tank going again to grow out/QT a couple dime size angles before adding them to my 50g tall tank.

My question is - do I need to bleach my tank before starting up a new cycle and adding angles or can I just keep it running safely?

If you don't know what he died of I'd change the water out but keep the filter wet. Don't know if bleach is needed or not.

IMO, hospital or QT should be torn down, bleached and let dry before using with new fish. id using seeded filter media, it should go from DT -> QT, not the reverse.
