First Attempt @ Iwugami

I am new to aquascaping and am always looking for a little constructive criticism. I just started a Iwugami but something just doesn't look right. I don't know if it is a scale issue or hardscape or what. I just wanted a little critique from anyone who feels so inclined. I added two pictures. The first one is before I added a little path/valley. I am kind of thinking the path may be what looks wired. I am ordering some plants and the Monte Carlo that is now in there is some leftover from my other tank. Thanks in advance.

It will not hurt my feelings if I'm told to hang it up and try a different hobby or to completely start over.

Your largest stone is too upright imo, can you place it so it is leaning more? Also, I think you would benefit from additional small rock in the left formation, probably in front of the other two. Also, mounding your substrate more around the rocks might help the transition from "ground" to "mountain" look more natural.

Not a big fan of the path, at least as is right now, it distracts and does not feel proportionally sized correctly.

You have some interesting rocks, keep playing around with them and you will find something you like.
