Question Drop checker changing to low CO2 overnight?

Me again.

I have installed the Waterplant brand CO2 drop checker recommended by others on this forum. It performs continuous monitoring, during which blue indicates too little CO2, green is right, yellow is too high.

It appears that my tank is green during the day when the lights are on and the CO2 is running, but blue by morning, after my solenoid has kept the CO2 off for 15 hours.

I assume this is okay and not a sign that my overall CO2 is too low, but please let me know what you think.

Thanks.

Yep, it should be blue in the morning. My Water Plant DCs get to a yellowish green color after 6 hrs.

Hmm, mine has been staying green all night, even with the co2 off (same drop checker)

I am using air stones at night for a few hrs and maybe that helps to turn it blue by morning.

That could be, I have very little surface agitation, with the exception of a little swirling

I have little surface agitation and it turn blue overnight, plenty underneath. It's a 75G so there's a lot of surface area.

Mine was always green in the morning also. I never had any issues. "green" is a pretty wide range of CO2 concentration. If it was yellowish in the morning, then I would worry. I don't run an airstone at night, and don't have much surface agitation. Likely the plants themselves boost the CO2 up considerably during the night.
