Planting shipping during freezing temps

I was wondering how detrimental to plants like anubias it would be if I had them shipped regular mail without heat packs in subzero temperatures. I'm not sure how long they would be exposed to cold prior to delivery but I could probably get them out of the mailbox within a couple hours.
Would this be a total waste of money?
I might get lucky and have a few day period of temps warmer than 20*F. lol

No point in trying to ship if you are not willing to use heatpacks in the winter temperatures.

You will have mush.

Have them shipped to your work address or general delivery at the PO and pick up at the post office even with heat packs.

I was going to get them off ebay and the guy doesn't do heat packs so I will hold off on it. I've gotten plants from him before with temps in the 50s with no problems but the high today was 13* and I doubt spring will decide to come to Iowa before April.
Thanks
