Question Harlequin rasboras



Why is my female harlequin rasbora not eating ???

i give them flake food... granules... and shrimp... she only eats a "tiny" bit of the shirmp.. the rest she spits out... whats going on with her... whats wrong ???

is this a new fish? or has she been eating your food for a while and recently stopped

she's been in my tank since a year already... and the lifespan for harlequin rasboras are 5 years... but yeah she always ate the same food all the time... but now shes not eating it anymore... i need help... shes got skinny

have you tried any live food? does your lfs sell brine shrimp?

Well the pets stores near me dont... but my LFS... probably do have live food like brine shrimp but i dont think they sell them to any one thgh... shes still not eating, i just fed them and all she takes in is still the small amount of frozen shrimp... is her mouth brused or hurting from the inside ???

i doubt it. call your lfs and ask. cant hurt to try. nothing gets fish eating like live food.

i dont know much about raspboras but i know that some omnivores will eat peas. you take the skin off of them and it helps them pass if they're constipated.

Can you post a picture of her?

Is her back curved?

If so, it's very likely she has a disease called Fish TB.
