New to aquascaping. Would love to learn more.

Hello first post here! I have a new 60 gallon tank and want to get into some aquascaping. I have some plants in there already. I have no idea what plants need to thrive in a tank but I have seen what some ppl use on YouTube. I have fluorite red for substrait and have a fluval 3.0 coming Thursday. I’m also getting co2 setup in the next few weeks. Do I need anything else to help the process? Does it look like I need more substrait? I’d like to get a carpet going also.

Nice to see someone else getting into a planted tank also. Kinda VERY new here, so I don't have much to offer, except for an "atta-boy" for giving it a try!

BTW: That "hologram" over the tank. What car is that? With a screen name of "minicupracer" it appears you're a car guy?

Yeah that is a 2004 Monte Carlo SS supercharged I had. Kept it looking brand new. I like doing photography also so I did a long exposure pic of it. Just recently sold it. Here’s a actual pic of it.

I would recommend that you also use some liquid fertilizers. Good luck!
