Heater+bucket

Hi, can i leave my heater in a bucket for a couple of days and also will it melt the bucket

NO if the bucket is full of water and if the bucket is like a plastic one then no.... but maybe if you make your bucket water like 150 degrees F... lol

I bought a metal 5 gallon bucket, and a cheap thermometer for small tanks.

It's no different than buying a plastic tank, and adding fish and a heater.

Will work for shrimpz.......

If you mount the heater as you would in a tank, with the actual heater away from the side on stand offs, yes.

I do hope you weren't going to pull a heater from a tank and right into a bucket? It might work or it might cook the heater if it's a high wattage.
