New Tank Substrate Question

So I am making a 14G Biocube planted tank and I have the LFS getting in my Flourite on friday and I need to know what to mix in the substrate. Take in to consideration I will be hosting high-light plants. I also have a bag of Pavers Sand in the garage and I dont know if that would work with it? Any advise would be awesome.

My main advice is to rinse the flourite really well. I love mine but all the dust in it took several days to settle in my tank.

As for you main question I have flourite dark on top of flourite regular in my tank - I like the dark colour better and didn't mix it with anything.

you dont need to add anything

however...if youre going high light/high tech tank

you should add ferts to the water column...look into EI dosing for the best results

it is IMPOSSIBLE to find 1 person who regrets going pressurized

if you do it right, you can spend a lot of money in this hobby...of course, if you do it wrong - you'll spend A LOT more
