DIY CO2 Problem

So I'm trying to set up a citric acid/baking soda CO2 system but I'm having a small problem. I'm trying to prime bottle A with the pressure gauge to send citric acid into bottle B but when I squeeze it, I don't see any liquid actually pass through the tube connecting the bottles to start the reaction. Anyone have any tips or ideas to get this to start?

If you are squeezing the first bottle, and do not see any gas in the second, you probably have a leak somewhere.
