feeding ring

Anyone use one?

Do you always use it / always keep it in the tank?

Do you use it just until the fish get used to where you feed?

Thoughts?

I don't right now, but I have in the past. I used one in my betta tank to keep a feeding spot clear of floaters, and the fish learned quickly to come straight to the ring when I was near the tank. In another tank, the fishes ignored the ring completely, but the one I was trying to use it for was an older fish and perhaps a bit slow on the uptake. I would just take the ring out on maintenance days and wipe the biofilm off, it did get a bit scummy but nothing alarming I think.
