I just setup a new to me Fluval F60 tank.
I lightly sprinkled Osmocote Plus on the bottom glass and covered it with thoroughly washed Black Diamond Blasting Sand (16/30 and 12/40 marked). I will be dosing with NilocG DIY EI Liquid and have the bubble counter on the CO2 set to about 1 bubble a second.
I currently have a 200 watt heater in this 22 gallon tank and it it is not able to get the temperature to go above 74 degrees. This heater was previously used in my 75 gallon tank. Is this because the tank is uncovered and has a large amount of surface agitation from the bubbles?
The driftwood and moss had been out of the water for a little over a week. Will the moss on the driftwood grow or should I remove it?
I got the setup for $200 on craigslist in very good condition. It came with the tank, stand, fluval aqualife and plant light, Fluval 206 canister filter, 100 watt heater, aquatek paintball co2 setup, API freshwater master test kit, API GH/KH test kit, aquarium plant tools, pocket TDS and PH meter, dry fertilizers, and driftwood. Did I get a good deal or did I overpay?
