Cheap 20 gallon long, high light

I would like to know a cheap diy or already made light for a 20 gallon long to have high light. I was thinking 4 cfl's but have no clue about what wattage, I have 28 watts of cfl over each of my 2 Npt 10 gallons.

I have three of these clamped on with 26 watt 6500k Daylight CFLs. Fairly cheap for high light I suppose. http://www.lowes.com/pd_203198-1373-...toreBeanArray=[com.lowes.commerce.storelocator.beans.LocatorStore Bean%40245280ef,+com.lowes.commerce.storelocator.b eans.LocatorStoreBean%4024b100ef,+com.lowes.commer ce.storelocator.beans.LocatorStoreBean%40249780ef, +com.lowes.commerce.storelocator.beans.LocatorStor eBean%40226800d7,+com.lowes.commerce.storelocator. beans.LocatorStoreBean%40224e80d7]&currentURL=/pl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dwork%2Blight&Ntt=work+light&URL=T opCategoriesDisplayView&langId=-1&storeId=10151

You can get a t5HO hydroponics light at almost any "indoor gardening store" These are not the prettiest looking but at only 30-40 dollars per light t's a steal. These seem to put out more light for me than my coralife t5ho and would do just fine mounted a couple inches above the tank.

Heres a couple photos of a hood I made with a 5 piece vanity from lowes for my 20G long:

Granted you could just buy the wire/light sockets individually and wire it together yourself, but I avoided that by just tearing the front panel off of the vanityand attaching it to the wood. Also adding a reflector helps a lot too.

I'm no electrician, but that setup sure looks scary to me! Lots of loose wires, no waterproof fittings, no glass canopy between the hot bulbs and splashing water...

Ha, I might be 14 but I'm the best electrical in my family, I've been doing stuff with electronics since 10 years mostly soldering, so I ended up doing 6 14 w cfl's, I know this is alot but it will be raised, the stock hood had a switch rated at 3 amps and I took no chances and switched to a 20 amp one, even though theres not even 3/4 tbs of an amp
