I understand! I picked up a 10g today. I have a light and filter already. I need to pick up a heater and choose a substrate.

The guy told me yesterday when I went to go get fish for my 10g that it starts "tomorrow" (now today)... so within the next few days I'm going to go get that 55g I've been eyeing...

Another shot for me to pickup a 40B... I'll be making a trip in the morning to upgrade my hospital tank.

I picked up a 40gB last time... Best $40 I ever spent.

Call ahead. I went to THREE of them today and only managed to find one 55G, and it had massive chips on three edges. So, no mas. Saved me from myself though. I'm so not ready to tackle a 55G.

I did pick up two 20Ls though . . . and then I went to my LFS and spent $250+ on ADA and lights and a ferts and a few plants, LOL! I love going there though (Albany Aquariums ROCKS SO HARD). I also laid eyes on a 33L for the first time, and now I have lust in my heart . . . that is so my next big purchase. I may need to fill it with Rams, which I'm feeling a bit obsessed with at the moment. AA has three different kinds, all gorgeous!

What do you guys do for hoods for the cheap tanks? I've always skipped the Petco sale cuz the hoods are so gosh darn expensive! Thoughts?

...plus it's not like I need more tanks...I think I have a 58 Oceanic 3 footer, 2 x 30 gallon longs, 2 x 20 gallon longs, 2 x 29 gallons, probably around 5 x 10 gallons, lots of 1-2 gallons, a 15 gallon, a 5 gallon, etc....wow...my fiance' is right...too many! Most are dry though...darn apartment living!

Glass tops are relatively inexpensive on the smaller tanks. The easiest thing to do (IMO) is to make a rack of some sort. Put a few 10 or 20 tanks side-by-side or end-to-end, and run a single light over both.
