Photosynthesis and pearling times?

Ok so i just set up my 16 gal planted 3 weeks ago i started it out on excel and very little regular ferts. Then i decided to use co2 and after the second day i noticed and incredible amount of pearling, just 6 hours after the lights have been on it's just bubbles all over the place. (i'm happy) Now this is my question: Is their a way to regulate how much photoperiod my plants need buy the amount of pearling i get? If after 6 hours my planted are producing that much air do they really need to be on any longer?
This is not exacly an important question just something i been thinking about. Also does anyone know of any good articles their may be about this.

They photosynthesize as soon as the lights are on.

You get all those bubbles because of all of the gasses saturated in the water (O2,CO2, and others).
