how to keep tank clean

So maybe I am obsessed with keeping my tank clean, but how does everyone keep their tanks clean? I have a 112L or 30 gallon tank with live plants and 8 crystal red shrimp, 2 galaxy rasboras, and 3 assassin snails. Twice a week i vacuum my tank gravel and plants. Is there anything i can do/add to keep the gravel cleaner and the plants cleaner? I have seen some beautiful tanks with plants in them and they seem to be spotless.

Your tank is not overloaded with fish, shrimp, and snails... and I'm assuming your plants are doing well. So, for the time being, I recommend that you just continue to monitor your filter's performance and cleanliness, don't overfeed the animals, and do small, partial water changes once every week or two. Also, personally, I don't think it's usually necessary (or good for the plants) to vacuum the gravel twice a week. Once every few weeks should be quite sufficient, as long as you're not overfeeding or have a lot of decaying vegetation in the tank.

P.S.: Relax and enjoy your aquarium. My observation has been that most beautiful, seemingly "spotless" tanks are not spotless. :-) There usually is at least a little bit of algae somewhere... if you look hard enough! :-)

your over cleaning let some bacteria build up just do monthly water changes do not clean the gravel and do not over feed. it might not be spotless for a while but it will clean itself up this took me about a year of cleaning twice weekly to learn.
