Make sure it's bleach without fragrance, color, or surfactant in it (plain bleach).
Mix 1:19 bleach:water ratio. Bleach for 5 minutes is fine and then dip in plain water.

If you have H2O2, that'll work too.

For more fragile plants (those with thin, flimsy leaves, for example), you might want to reduce the dip time to 60-90 seconds. But +1 for the 19:1 bleach dip.

Next time you're near a dollar type store, check out the bleach there.

IN my experience, use 3% Hydrogen Peroxide from the bottle. Don't dilute it. Buy a couple of bottles when they are on sale for fifty cents so you can just pour it down the drain when you're finished.

Do i just pour the 3% h2o2 straight to the plant for disinfection?

I pour it into a small tub, then dip the plant and swish it around. Pull it out, rinse in fresh water and into the tank.

You may prefer to go with a longer soak in a diluted solution, per the recommendations there.

Water and salt will do too. It'll kill most parasites and snails too.
