How many dwarf puffers in a 30L/8gallon tank?

I have a heavily planted 30L tank with Eheim Ecco Pro 130 (2232). How many dwarf puffers could I keep in there? Some people have said 5, others say only 1. I was thinking maybe 3 or 4 since it is heavily planted which will diffuse aggression. I will be doing 50% water changes also.
Thanks!

I have 3 in a 10g IM Nuvo and I think thatís kinda pushing it. I would also say it depends on there personality, some do better then others together? If you are getting them locally you could ask the LFS if they would take any back if it doesnít work.

I'd say one. It varies massively depending on their personality, so, unless you're lucky enough to find a pair which get along incredibly well, you don't want less than three. That isn't enough room for three, not really.

Not sure where people get their ideas about Pea Puffers from - you can have quite a few in a tank. More are added to disperse aggression, and since they are *tiny* they don't produce a huge bioload. You will likely end up with one or two being smaller or weaker than the others, but that's true for any fish that isn't a pure schooler. The key is to watch for targeted aggression and try to mitigate it with more plants, wood, floating plants, or by removing the main aggressor if needed.

I have 5 in a 15 gallon column tank and they are all doing great. The tank is fairly heavily planted and has a LOT of hiding places between the plants and the drift wood. They are still fairly young but we haven't seen and signs of aggression. They are all very active and have very healthy appetites!
