Lily outflow vs Poppy outflow

I want to get some glass inlets and outlets for my aquarium, but I will be keeping dwarf pufferfish so I don't want the flow to be too strong. I will also be running CO2, will the increased surface agitation from the poppy style pipe make the CO2 to exchange into the atmosphere faster? Thanks

Any surface agitation will increase gas exchange. That being said I run my filter throughout the day, and while it does take a bit to get up to the right concentration it hold pretty well after.

Idk as long as your not making crazy waves and stuff up top I wouldn't worry to much about it. Others will probably disagree, but I haven't seen enough gas off to warrant shutting my filter off. Obviously less is better, but you still need circulation for the health of the tank.

New to the hobby, feel like ive really found something that can be a life long passion. I sincerely appreciate anyone taking the time to pass along any advice, and look forwards to being able to do that same. -DC
