Is this too much for circulation purpose?

Hello everyone,

I want to get a carpet in my 40 litre tank (10g), however, I'm debating between a wavemaker and a powerhead. Is this too much of over-circulation? (in the website it says 1000-3000 l/s)

Why do you think you need that? Do you have a filter on the tank?

Unless it's a saltwater tank...you should be able to get more than enough water circulation with a filter...either canister or HOB. Something like an AquaClear 30 or 50 would work well or an equivalent. I have a 30 on my 11g tank now but I might bump up to a 50 soon...but the 30 works well enough.

I have a Marina Slim S15, It just seems to have almost no water circulation, even tho this filter is enough for the tank, and someone advised me to get a powerhead/wavemaker to get the nutrients and CO2 to every part of the tank.
