too funny

I have been preparing for my first ever amano shrimp order.
I read about shrimp escaping and walking down the hall way.
I read about shrimp jumping out and walking around tank.
I see pictures of shrimp (close up shots) feeding away when they are in the tank.
I got this clado algae problem and 20 of these workers are going to rid me of this.

I get my shrimp today. I am expecting something 3/4 to an inch long with beady eyes.
Holy smokes these amano are tiny. I thought the transport bag was empty. How does anyone see a amano shrimp walking down the hall way??

They will get plenty big enough to see. I've heard small shrimp ship better, likely why you received tiny ones.

The females can get up to around 2". I definitely believe the stories of them walking around outside of water. Whenever I net them I have to cover the top so they don't crawl out.

I see, yea these are the size of a 3 week old guppy. Interesting enough, no complaints just caught me off guard. I was all set to sex them looking at dots and dashes and now I can't find the first shrimp LOL's.....

I had 8 amano shrimp at one time and found one about ten feet from the tank heading towards the night light in the bathroom. Don't know if he had to go real bad or just wanted to go for the light. lol. He did not survive the trek.

I had them all over the house over the years. The cat usually gets them. I have found them crawling around and toss them back in with no problem. I have found them dried and mummified, too.

20 Amano in a 45 and my 5th night with a flash light I saw my very first shrimp since release!

while I was picking up eye-shine from one of my 12 mm amano with my tiny flashlight I noticed something helpful. I can see the clado monster very clearly now.
I give up on the natural approach to clean up. I have ordered tweezers a foot long and rehab will proceed on their arrival. The amano, SAE's, mollies and guppies can stay on vacation...
I sure as heck wouldn't eat the smelly putrid stuff.
the clado sticks to the ADA and will rake into a pile where one of my 3 tweezers will pluck it.
Then I will dry it out and light it on fire.
