Amazon Sword has large holes in it

I just bought 3 amazon sword plants yesterday for my freshwater planted aquarium. Today, I noticed that in the middle of the leafs it appears to have disintergrated somehow. All I see are the ribs of the leaves on the inside of the leaf. My pleco hasnt touched my plants nor have the other fish. What could of caused it? I fertilize, have plenty of light, and co2 as well? Any input would be greatly appreciated

Well if you just bought them yesterday and today there are holes then they are definately being eaten. In most cases the damage is done under the mask of darkness and while we are sleeping. Plants do not deteriorate that fast unless they were frozen...

Sounds like something just might be munching on those leaves.

Any plecos in there?

It could be a deficiency also. I noticed that on a large E. bleheri after I moved it into my tank. Within the first couple of days, the outer leaves had holes in them and had disintegrated. I'm pretty sure that it isn't being eaten either. The only algae eating fish in the tank at the time were otos.
