Moving a 125g planted tank

Hi im trying to get advice on how to move my 125g tank. Its not super planted but plants have rooted already in 2 months time. In substrate is plain. Pool filter sand but has root tabs through out it. There's 150 lbs of sand in it.

Moving or catching my fish isn't a big problem as I mention plants haven't got to big where I can't catch them. Live stock is: 13 clown loaches at about maybe 3 inch max, 22 white cloud minnows at 1 inch, 18 rummy nose, 3 angel fish at 3 inch max, 12 Neon Rainbow Fish at inch max, 4 otos and 3 Bushy nose 1 Regular female at 4 inch and 2 lemon blue eyes bushy at 2 or 2 and half inch.

My filter is a Fluval FX 4 that's been running for almost a year now.

So here's the part the part the sucks the most. I might have to move to my mothers for a month max till I find a new apartment while there. I'm hoping I could find one before hand so that I dont move the tank twice. In any case which way is best to move this tank thanks.

You'll need friends and go at it slowly. I don't envy you at all. Best of luck.

Sounds like you'll have to break it down and move it. Where will you be keeping your fish in the month your at your mom's?

If you are only going to stay a month I would recommend trying to put all of your plants in pots. and go substrateless for the duration at your mothers. Will make it easier if you can remove all your substrate where your tank currently is and only put it back in till your tank is set up "permanently".

If your only thinking it will be a temp move I would break down the 125 and get as small of an aquarium as you can get to put everything in while your at your mothers. Once your moved in to a permanent place then put everything back and set up the small aquarium for a second tank.
