46 Gallon Fix Help

I've got a 46 gallon tank and the center brace up top is broken. Both the front and back snapped and are completely off the tank. I've actually had the tank like this for over 2 years but I just moved and am redoing everything.

ATM the tank is stocked and planted. Since realizing that this might be a problem I've removed some water. I've noticed that the front has bowed out about 1/4 inch (perspective from glass top).

Any general advice on how to fix this? Maybe a place to get a new top unit or a conversion to euro style glass? I'm thinking about making a kind of winch from a screw tightener to bring the front and back together maybe 1/16th. Then I'd silicone some pexiglass in a few spots on the top... Crazy?

I've seen this guy do a Euro conversion. Not sure if it's realistic or not..looks like a lot of work anyway.
