I just ordered mine from green leaf aquariums. Very reputable and frequently shopped by many members here. I also got their gro 2 regulator set and dry ei nutrient pack. The diffusers they offer seem very nice.

Hi spyderman,

I see you are a long time member but your first post....glad you joined us!

I use both the Boyu CD-01 in-line diffuser (very hard to find these days) and the Up-Aqua Diffuser/Atomizer. I have used the Boyu since January 2010 without failures and the Up-Aqua (about $21 ship from US or $18 ship from Hong Kong) since March of 2014. Obviously the big risk of an external diffuser is failure (either of the unit or the connections) so whenever I change my CO2 bottles (typically 4-6 months) I inspect the diffusers for signs of cracks or crazing of the plastic and verify the tubing connections are tight.

It seems the newer style Up Aqua atomizer that you're able to disassemble is the one with issues. The older style has held up better, at least the ones I've used have been dependable and leak free. I wouldn't expect them to last forever though and replace them on a yearly basis.
