manzanita driftwood

when buying, is there an advantage of natural vs. sandblasted? Will the sandblasted stay white/light or will it darken eventually? Will the natural manzanita with the bark still on leech tannins more?

For aquarium use you want sandblasted. It will eventually turn dark brown.

Don't get it with the bark still on unless you have plecos that like to munch on wood, as it will slough off over time and look funky until it's gone, as well as releasing more tannins over time. Sandblasted is better and will darken over time.
