Is my live food contaminated?

I am currently working on making a tank stand. I'm applying layers of wood stain/polyurethane. The fumes are very toxic. One day because of rain I tried working in basement with sliding glass door open and a fan blowing air out I still got bad headaches and my arms felt numb/tingly for a week. Not doing that again. So now I only work on it when dry/sunny outside- but then overnight to avoid dew getting on it I bring into the basement, close all the doors to rest of the house put it in bathroom with the fan blowing air to outside. This has kept fumes out of the house (I smell it strongly when I walk past where the fan exhausts outside).

It happens to be near where I keep a shallow basin of stagnant water to collect mosquito larvae from, every few days. This morning I put the tank stand back outside in the fresh air, and later went to collect larvae for my fishes. The basin is 10 or 15 feet from the exhaust vent. I don't smell the fumes in the area anymore, but is it likely that toxins got in the water and will harm my fish if I feed them these larvae?

Um, well just to be sure I dumped the container and refilled with tank water and put new leaf litter in.... I still have the jar of wigglers collected yesterday. Is it a good guess that if the fumes would hurt a fish they would have killed these insect larvae? they are still plenty active!

Just to be on the safe side I would move the container to a different spot until you are done with your build.

Take only pictures, leave only footprints.
