Which plants out of this list are good for newbies with brown thumbs?

I have a 180, low light.

thoes are all the good starter pants. the ones i took off are either cold water plants or there idea of an aquaticplant.

In my experience hornwort grows like wildfire...but it does not root...it is a floater. Though, you can still cram it into the substrate. Same with Cabomba...strong grower

Post a WTB thread in the swap and shop. There are plenty of people who will help you out. The plants are much nicer and cheaper than at most pet stores.

PS avoid octopus plants... they will not survive underwater.

Tank: 20 gallons, 62 watts t5, DIY CO2

Unemployed, poor, and still living off the parents.

Vallisneria is very hardy and can grow nicely in low light. It also gets very tall, I've heard tales of plants 3-4 feet tall!

my jungle val (valisneria americana gigantea) is over 60 inches (5 feet) long and still getting longer.
