Cloudy Water? Causes?

In the morning, tank is often a bit cloudy. Today it is staying cloudy throughout the day.

Amm 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
kH/GH ea 6

50g tank, sand over soil. Hi tech 30ppm CO2, 3/4 EI dosing. Heavy plant load, very few fish. Tank was setup two months ago but used a fully cycled canister and sponge filter. 50% WC weekly.

Algae is in check, sometimes a little GHA on old leaves which I remove. Periodically have some diatoms (silicates in tap water) which I remove with Phosguard every 2-3 weeks.

The only thing I can think is a bacterial bloom (what does that even mean?) or maybe an algae bloom, although the water is not greenish, more yellowish.

Any suggestions what I can do?

Cleaned the tank/filter recently?
Any wood in the tank that you have added?
What is the temp currently?

The filter didnt get cleaned this week, it did last week.

When I set up the soil/sand a month ago, there were alot of tannins. I think I know the problem... my Purigen needs a recharge.

I'm hoping these are soil tannins. I figured that soil would stop releasing tannins over time.

Recharging Purigen... will see if that solves it.

Sounds like a good cause. When you cleaned your filter did you run any of it under tap water?
