Talking 12 gallon long DSM questions

What's up everybody! Hopefully I've come to the right place to get my questions answered!

Here's my setup:
Aquamaxx 12 gallon long
6L ADA soil powder type
2L ADA power sand
ADA tourmaline bc, Bacter 100, Clear super
Current Satalite freshwater LED plus
Eheim 2215 canister filter
Hydor 240 power head
Pressurized CO2, used victor 453d (still setting system up)
HC, hair grass, S. repens

1. I'm getting ready to move into my dorm next month. I was wondering if I could start the DSM now to get a head start and then move the tank when I move in(It's a 2.5 hour drive from my house to campus). Even if I move when the plants are not in a photoperiod, would I risk messing up the DSM? Is it a bad idea to start it now, should I just wait?
2. Once the tank gets flooded, is okay to use only distilled water. Would I need to add anything else to the water besides the dry plant macro and micro nutrients? (EI method)
3. Should I order more aqua soil, do I have enough?
I've been reading this forum for a while and I thought I might as well get involved! Let me know if I'm missing anything!
