Does it need a center brace? It doesn't look like it ever had one. If it was cut then they did a good job. I'm setting it up for the first time and I've been reading horror stories about used tanks and not having center braces (major flooding issues). Does anyone have a 29 gallon with no brace?

29's do not usually have a center brace. The weight along that length and depth does not require one

No, to my knowledge 29s don't have a center brace. I don't think a center brace shows up until you get to size 40 long which is a full 4' in length along the longest panes.
