Bml lighting and bba
Have a bml Dutch xb lit co2 aquarium with ph monitor for a couple years now and still battle bba. Lights are suspended 6" over aquarium with dimmer set to 25%. Lights are on for 8 hours/ day. Ph drop of 1.1 by lights on. Heavily planted established tanks. Pps pro fert regime. 55 gallon has 9 bosemani rainbows, some corys, and amano shrimp. Over capacity Fx4 fluval filter and cascade 1000 to run Rex Grigg reactor. Wish tank were bigger. All critters ok at 1.1 ph drop but anymore and fish are at surface mouthing. Any less and more bba. Tank is established, heavily planted. Raised lights a couple months ago to 6" at same 25% dimmer / same co2 and plants grew taller and less compact with same bba. Got rid of kno3 in fert regime as nitrates up around 60, now 30. Plants are mostly crypts with a couple aponogeton bulbs. Guess need to decrease dimmer further? Any ideas?
