Please help ID this algae

My tank is 8 days old, and probably not cycled. I did use old filter media and bacterial culture, but am still getting algae. Its probably also because I had lights on too long without dosing NPK. Anyways, I've started dosing NPK from today, and will be reducing my light hours.

Could someone help ID this algae please? It's most obvious growing on my Marsilea Hirsuta, but I can also see it coating the leaves and stems of other plants. It's a greenish-grey colored mat, and I don't see any fine hairs or fuzz. It comes off easily if I rub the leaf with my hands or a soft brush. Here's a photo.

either diatoms or just dust from the new substrate. both should clear up with a little time.
