how long can my tank survive on excel?

I recently got fed up with my garbage needle valve and leaky almost new clippard solenoid, so I am in the process of getting another, better setup. For around a week I have turned my light cycle down to 7 hours, and been putting 12 mL of excel into my tank daily along with an attenuated ei-ish schedule. My tank actually looks really great, no melting and no algae, it looks healthy and happy but without any major growth. I am basically wondering how long my tank can hold on like this before I get the CO2 flowing again

Many people have good aquariums with Excel alone; the only disadvantage in the long run with using Excel is the cost. A bottle of Excel is quite a bit more expensive than CO2, and in addition, you have to remember to dose the Excel daily, whereas with CO2, it is automatic (provided you have a solenoid).

One less thing to have to worry about dosing

How big is your tank? I've been thinking about dosing my nano flourish instead of getting co2.

it's a 29. Everything looks fantastic, the colours are great and vibrant. I get no pearling though, and my dhg and riccia have essentially stopped growing.

it's leaking in between the aluminum block and the little plate that is screwed to it. I took it apart and tried to clean it thinking it was just dirty or plugged or something but it is no better, the o-ring around the shaft seems to be bad.
