10 Gal. Movie Tank

I have been planning on using my empty 10 gal. as a betta tank for a while now. That changed when I came home from a family vacation to find that our house sitter (also my brother's girlfriend) had bought me a new fish. He is a mickey mouse Platy named Mickey. So my plans have changed for my 10 gal. because of this wonderful, cute little fish. He is currently residing in my 55 gal. with my other fish while I prepare his new home for him. My plans are following.

Substrate
I have white aquarium sand already in the tank.

Decor
Already In Tank:
No Fishing sign
Some snail shells scattered about
One small seashell
Some small stones

Plants
In Tank:
Green plastic plant
Black plastic plant
To Order:
Marima Moss Balls
Java(?) Moss
Mini Anubias plant

Lighting
LED lights on tank lid

Filter
This filter

Fish
Mickey (male mickey mouse Platy)
3/4 Male Platies

Other Creatures
Three Amano shrimp
One Nerite snail

I plan on giving all the animals in this tank movie/TV/etc. themed names. The snail (if a male) will be named Gary after Gary in Spongebob. Don't judge. xD

So those are my plans! Ordered the filter already and saving to buy the plants and fish. Once I get the filter and plants in, I'm going to let my tank cycle for at least a week before buying the creatures.

Tank as it is now:

Sounds like you took my advice to save the money and skip on the CO2 system for now. Good call.
The plant your describing "mini anubias" is "anubias nana petite" but in a 10 gallon tank you may be better off with an anubias nana (not the petite kind) they're a bit bigger.
The choice is yours, but if you've got the room, why not?
Java moss is a hardy plant, but it's not easily tied down. Expect it to go wherever it wants, but it's a great plant for beginners.
Java fern is also very hardy. It grows as slowly as anubias do. So don't expect it to change much.
Mickey looks very happy. I hope you enjoy making him a fun new home.
