ooooh my wife is gonna kill or divorce me...

Ordered THREE new fish tanks today. I already have 7 glass boxes at my house as it is ( not all of them are being used-I have a 29g and a 20g in the attic that arent being used )

I ordered two Mr. Aqua tanks. a 12g long tank and a 12x12x12 cube. These tanks will replace two of my existing tanks in my living room. I also ordered the 50g tank that I already have equipment sitting around for.

I have to make a decision on filters for the two Mr Aqua tanks. Im thinking a Fluval 105 on the 12g and an AC20 on the cube.

The cube is going to be low tech with T8 lighting, no CO2 and a butt load of nana petite on some mopani. Either a Betta, some male guppies or some micro rasboras.

The 12g is going to be CO2 injected. Unsure on plants and scape. I do plan to have 9 or 10 Harlequin rasboras in it though.

Wish me luck-hope my wife doesnt cut my throat while I sleep

Congrats on winning that contest Plantedtank just had.

But sleep with one eye open just in case.

Your a brave man. I am voluntarily cutting back on my tanks to appease my wife.

Don't worry. There's nothing that a trip to Coach or Tiffany's can't fix.

I would have imagined that the wife would see it as:

Less one Catalina T5HO fixtures = two Coach bags!
Less one ADA Pollen Beetle = two pairs of pink Nikes!

Well--there are some upsides for me getting these tanks as far as she is concerned.

1 ; I will be replacing a standard 10 gal, a 5.5 gal and a 2.5 gal with the rimless tanks. These tanks are in the living room and will be a step 'up' as far as cosmetic appearance.

2 ; I will be moving my 29g tank out of our dining room and into my computer room when I setup the 50g in there. She hates the tank being in the dining room.

3 ; I will be taking down another 10g tank that is currently in my computer room.

So, Im going from 2 standard 10g tanks, 5.5g, 2.5g and 29g to 2 rimless tanks, 29g and 50g and my wife gets her dining room space back as well as a better looking setup in the living room.

Tell her that if she spent more time in the kitchen, she wouldn't have to look at the tanks.
