Question Looking for online plant dealer in Florida..

Can anyone recommend a good online plant supplier in Florida?

I'm tired of driving around to my lfs's only to be disappointed. I'm hoping someone can recommend a good online supplier with a nice selection so I can stock my new 40g breeder with a little forethought. I'm also hoping to find someone relatively close so I can reduce the chance of receiving 'seaweed stew' rather than plants... the heat.. oh the heat.

you can ask if people can insulate their packages. and you can ask the post office to hold your mail when you are expecting a package (you know government workers dont work in un-airconditioned builings)

on a side note, i know that a lot of pet stores around here buy their plants from florida aquatic nurseries. i've never checked to see if they sell retail or if they only do wholesale because i only buy from hobbiest now. you can though, maybe they are close to you http://www.floridaaquatic.com/policies.html

Thanks for the advice.. I'll look over their sites. I'm really going to be particular on plant choice and don't want to be limited + I'd rather get them (as close to) locally as possible for the best chance at shipping success. As Orlando can attest, it's been hot and humid here and I would hate to wind up with a box full o' mush.

You can call him up and schedule a visit and pick the plants yourself even. Its a huge nursery and really cool.

Thanks, I'll do that. I'd like to see a commercial aquatic nursery in operation anyhow. Might have to leave my wallet at home though.. or bring my pickup truck.

I'm in Deltona. Close enough to Orlando.

In my overgrown 180 there is always excess of plants.

Beware of buying plants from Edward- he'll send you enough plants to carpet your living room!
