Question about my Drop Checker

I've recently added a drop checker to the tank to be absolutely sure that I had 30ppm of CO2. The good news is that my drop checker has been solid green for 2 weeks, so that's given me peace.

However, I've had to take my drop checker out and place it back in the water every few days because the air in the chamber keeps disappearing. I can't find anything online that says this is the norm. Does anyone else have to replace the air in the chamber every few days? The water keeps creeping up, getting closer to my solution bubble. Right now, the water level is already 3/4 up the chamber already!

In my 20L I experienced this but in my 75 I don't. Sadly, not sure why though for sure. Sorry I can't offer a possible explanation .

Do you have a photo of the drop checker, or a link to it, so we can see what design it is?

Mine is this one ordered through e..bay rather then the regular site.

Glass Drop Checker and 4dkh Fluid- Free Shipping - NilocG Aquatics

Not trying to hijack sharpers thread but I'd be curious as to thoughts on why it would do this in one tank and not the other.

This is the exact one that I got on Ebay! When I was looking close at it, i noticed some condensation in very tiny bubbles in the air chamber. I'm guessing this is what is filling it up, maybe?

Could be I suppose. Only difference for mine is in the 20L I had it placed on the opposite end of the output on my cf80 and in my 75 my c530 is run through a spray bar pointing down my front glass atm. I just figured some how the cf80 was "pushing" water into the chamber with how it was positioned.

Side question, do you have any glare problems on the top side of it? I've started keeping mine high in the tank and looking at the reflection in the lower bell or looking at the upper chamber from above the tank. I need to order another one soon but may try an ista style one. Not sure I like the glass lol.
