Rummynose Tetra: Tolerance to KNO3?

I hope you can help me with two questions about Rummynose tetra. Never had them before.

1) I have ready many times that Rummynose tetras are good indicators of water quality. What does that actually mean in terms of Rummynose behavior/effects? Do they get sick/ich, etc. easily? Do they just start dying off if water quality degrades? Once established in well kept tank, are they durable/hardy, or constantly sensitive/tricky.

2) I dose somewhat heavy EI in my 90gal, now about 5 weeks old. I dose
15ppm KNO3, 3x
3ppm KH2PO4, 3x
17ppm K2SO4, 3x
TPN 20ml, 3x
0.8ppm Iron, 3x
GH booster 4tsp, 1x (tap GH = 0)
Excel 1.5x recommended dose, usually daily
CO2 drop checker light lime green
> 50-70% WC weekly

Any issues of this dosing for Rummynose? Particularly, would my somewhat high KNO3 dosing not go well Rummys?

they will be fine with the nitrogen that you add through kno3.

the concern would be the nitrogen that results from the cycle. that is toxic in large amounts.

I've done EI ferts for over a year and the rummies are fine. The problem is, they have a tendancy to jump out of the tank. They are jumpers.

cardinals are much more mellow. I haven't lost one to jumping.
