can you dose automatically?

Im with my tank every other week since i go back and forth from my mothers and fathers house. However i want to start dosing, so i was wondering if i should dose something once a week or should i get an automatic dosing pump?

Will this do the trick https://www.amazon.com/Jebao-Program...+pump+aquarium

Also wear do you guys buy your ferts for the EI dosing method?

Yes you can autodose. But: 1) Make sure lids are closed tightly over your fert solutions. I discovered mold in mine. 2) Use dark bottles to contain the solutions. 3) Check periodically to ensure that the tubing isn't clogged. 4) Calculate your dosing rate and serial dilutions properly.

Yes, as a college student away from home (and my tank) for weeks at a time I rely on auto-dosing. However I'd invest in a better pump than the Jebao. In this hobby you get what you pay for, and the Jebao has a lot of reports of malfunction or inconsistent dose volumes. If you only have a few solutions to dose the BRS pump is quite good. I've used some for over a year and they've maintained the same dose volume, though the actual dose volume isn't always exactly the stated 1.1 mL/min. As my solutions to be dosed increases, I find these less economical. I recently ordered a Kamoer multi-pump doser, which is pretty well-regarded in the reef hobby so should serve me well.

I just ordered the aquamedic reef doser evo 4 can't wait to use it with ei. The only problem I'm having is figuring out the amounts to put in each bottle.
