tank idea

so im not too happy with my current tank and considering stripping and starting again.

here is a super rough sketch of what i may or may not like to do.
just looking for ideas and thoughts, also some inspiration

I like the fore/midground plan a lot. Going to be nice.

Ceratophyllum isn't likely to be happy anchored down. Mine would grow inches a day and pull out of the substrate to float every few days. Hope you can find the Rotala instead.

How would you improve the background plants??

I'm still fairly new to the aquatic garden scene!

I am no expert at choosing plants myself. Go to the Swap n Shop forum here and look through the listings. I google each plant I am not familiar with to see what it looks like and if it is suitable for my set up. There is a list of plants here and google generally sends me to this site.
