Is my pellet food too big?

I bought some pellet food that is too big for my community tank fish to swallow in one bite. It sinks to the bottom and they chip away at it. I also feed flakes at the same time.
Is this okay or should I not use the pellets at all?

“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.”

It's how you use it!

If the fish are making the food disappear, it's fine. All the better if they have to work at it a little: it's an "enrichment exercise". Just make sure that all of the different species of fish in your tank are able to chip away at the pellets as you describe.
