What happens when you end up with Daphnia in a green water culture?

Well I keep usually 8-10 half gallon bottles going with green water in them for feeding my daphnia. Well over the last few days I was strugling to get one of the bottles going again. Typicall I dump half the bottle of green water into the daphnia tank and top off with water from teh display tank in the living room. Well I was looking at that bottle jsut a few minutes ago as I rotate and mix them up so they don't settle too much and though I saw something move in the bottle. Well upon closer inspection the bottle was home to roughly 200 daphnia mostly tiny, tiny ones. I split that bottle of green water between the 2 daphnia tanks as they needed fed anyways but thought it was kind of a funny sight. I may have jsut found a new way to ship them, 20 oz bottles with green water and daphnia in it.
