TMS and plants

I love the look of Tahitian Moon Sand. CaribSea lists conflicting information about its plant friendliness.

Does anyone keep plants with TMS?

although eco-complete is much larger in size, i would go with it over a product from Caribsea like TMS. My lfs had some in her planted tank, mixed with some Turface, and it scratched her 800 dollar pleco. The scratch, of course got infected, and the rare pleco died. Lesson learned. She told me she tried it out because she had some left over from filling her SaltWater reef tank. It does look beautiful, but not enough to risk the lives of many a bottom dwelling fish.
