I wanted to say "Thank You" again, for all the info I've gathered on here, and for all the helpful advice I've received.
My first planted tank (the ten gallon) was for the plants. My second (29 gallon) is for the fish
I've had fish all my life, some easy to take care of, some difficult. The planted tanks have given me more insight, so I feel more confident in getting more difficult and expensive fish. For the last few years, between college and starting a family, moving from place to place, I've only kept mostly live bearers. I didn't think I could keep a more difficult fish again for fear it wouldn't live a happy life.
This time, I decided I'm going to get some of those fish I'd been watching for years, wondering if someday I'd make an environment for them that they would be happy in. I'm confident in my selections, convinced finally that I can house these fish without making their lives miserable.
So thank you, for all the advice, critics, inspirations, and laughter. And thank you for giving me the confidence to take that step forward, and for being there if everything should fall apart.
